Information on boardgames and the history of boardgames.
A game that is played with pieces or other components which are placed on, removed from, or moved round a defined area (the board). The board tends to be unique from game to game. Board games can above all entertain everyone, regardless of age, race, religion, or culture.
It has been shown that board games are a good learning source for logic and consequences, which is why board games can be a highly effective educational tool, and at the same time having high social worth, and entertainment value. Board games represent values of which there will certainly be use for in the future.

Board games have existed for more than 8000 years and will surely survive for some time yet. You might wonder why, but the reason is simple: a board game simply gives its players a fantastic place to meet. A place where the players can have a good time while enjoying a great social experience.
Board games have survived competition from electronic games because they present players with an opportunity for unique, social interaction. Something which everyone can take part in, and which gives players the chance getting to know each other better.
A good board game gives all the players a positive experience – for both winners and losers.

What type of player are you?
Game InVentorS is an entrepaneur company, so we too have had a 'good idea' for a board game without being able to get much further.
However, we did get further, and today we have a business concept where we can also offer other game inventors assistance in getting their ideas out into the ‘wide world’.
We have tried it all at least once before, and have therefore the qualities required in being a good partner or consultant, whether dealing with idea development, production, simply offering advice, or acting as a ‘sparring partner’. With our help, things do not need to be as difficult as they may seem.
We have, with time, built up a great amount of experience in meeting the specific requirements of our business clients. We have also employed concept development of games for commercial purposes, such as internal company games, and even a game for use in purely marketing-oriented activities. We also work together with several advertising agencies on a wide range of projects.
We have noticed that more and more companies use board games in their marketing, or internally in the company. It is probable that this is because board games are a good way of learning rules and values. And of course, players can have fun and compete with eachother at the same time. If you are a business client and have an enquiry, then please do not hesitate to ask for an offer that will fit in with your company's needs.

Developing a board game concept is usually something which demands discretion. This can be the case both when dealing with our own concepts and concepts which are developed for customers or business partners.
This discretion primarily serves to protect the good ideas we see and work with but it can also be our client's or business partner's wish to remain anonymous.
Therefore you will find no list of references on this website.
New clients or business partners may gain access to this list but our normal procedure is that this list is not disclosed until a face to face meeting takes place.
The easiest way to contact us is by mail.
